Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Mkt Manager Volunteer Services, you will implement volunteer programs that assist staff in upholding the mission, vision, and values of Dignity Health. You will play a key role in supporting the director by deploying strategic initiatives and providing volunteer resources for community outreach activities as needed.

 

Every day, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the volunteer workforce, including the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new members. You will be responsible for the daily scheduling of volunteers to ensure consistent coverage and operational support across the facility.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate diverse teams. A commitment to fostering a positive environment while aligning volunteer efforts with organizational goals will be essential for your success.

  • Implement and promote volunteer recruitment and training strategies throughout the organization.
  • Monitor all volunteer programs to ensure consistent compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the continuous recruitment and daily scheduling of volunteers to support organizational programs.
  • Facilitate volunteer-specific orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing educational development.
  • Oversee gift shop operations, including providing operational support and optimizing volunteer utilization.
  • Drive gift shop revenue growth and customer satisfaction through strategic marketing and performance improvements.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
    • A combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in related volunteer services in a supervisory, management or leadership role including recruiting, orienting, and training volunteers and employees
  • Experience in project management, event planning, budget administration and program development
