Job Summary

The Commercial Roofing Warehouse Associate supports the day-to-day operations of our warehouse by receiving, organizing, preparing, and distributing roofing materials, tools, and equipment.

This is an entry-level position ideal for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, organized, and willing to learn. The Warehouse Associate will work closely with warehouse leadership, field teams, and other departments to ensure materials and equipment are ready when needed for our commercial roofing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations

• Assist with receiving, unloading, organizing, and storing incoming materials and equipment.
• Prepare  materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming roofing projects.
• Load and unload company vehicles and delivery trucks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Assist with staging materials for delivery to job sites.
• Follow established warehouse procedures and instructions from warehouse leadership.

Inventory Support

• Assist  with counting and tracking roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Help conduct inventory counts and identify missing or damaged materials.
• Properly label and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Assist  with documenting materials entering and leaving the warehouse.
• Work with the Inventory Specialist and warehouse leadership to maintain accurate inventory.

Material & Equipment Handling

• Safely move roofing materials, tools, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
• Inspect tools and equipment for visible damage or maintenance needs.
• Help ensure equipment is returned to its proper location after use.
• Report damaged, missing, or unsafe equipment to warehouse leadership.

Delivery & Logistics Support

• Assist with preparing materials and equipment for delivery to job sites.
• Verify that outgoing materials match work orders or delivery instructions.
• Assist drivers and field personnel with loading and unloading materials.
• Communicate any material shortages or discrepancies to warehouse leadership.

Safety

• Follow all Rackley Roofing safety policies and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow safe lifting, loading, unloading, and material-handling practices.
• Maintain clear walkways and work areas.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or workplace incidents.
• Follow applicable OSHA and company safety requirements.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Shift

• 7AM - 4PM

Experience

• No previous warehouse or commercial roofing experience required.
• Previous warehouse, construction, manufacturing, landscaping, delivery, or general labor experience is a plus but not required.
• Training will be provided to qualified candidates.

Skills & Abilities

• Basic organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Basic computer skills are helpful but not required.
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus; training may be provided based on company needs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to safely perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed.

Work Environment

• Primarily a warehouse environment with occasional outdoor work.
• Exposure to changing temperatures and weather conditions while loading and unloading materials.
• Regular interaction with warehouse personnel, drivers, field crews, and other Rackley Roofing team members.
• Must follow all company safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE.
• Must be willing to work different schedules or additional hours when necessary to support warehouse and project needs.
