Furniture Mart USA is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead one of our flagship retail operations. Pay Range: $65,000 - $150,000 annually (Salary + Commission)

Job Description: Your Place in Our Story

As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of store performance including sales growth, operational excellence, talent development, customer experience, and profitability. You'll partner with key departments across the organization to execute strategy, develop leaders, and ensure your location consistently delivers exceptional results.

Drive Business Performance

• Lead all aspects of store operations with a focus on revenue growth, profitability, and long-term success.
• Establish and execute strategic plans to achieve and exceed sales goals.
• Monitor key business metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure resources, staffing, inventory, and operational processes are optimized for maximum efficiency.
• Champion accountability and maintain a high-performance culture focused on results.

Lead and Develop People

• Inspire, coach, and develop a team of managers and retail professionals.
• Build a culture of engagement, ownership, collaboration, and excellence.
• Conduct ongoing performance coaching, mentorship, and talent development.
• Identify and develop future leaders through succession planning and growth opportunities.
• Foster open communication and strong partnerships across departments.

Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience

• Ensure every customer receives an outstanding shopping experience.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while proactively resolving concerns.
• Lead teams to consistently exceed customer expectations and service standards.
• Create a customer-focused culture that drives loyalty and repeat business.

Champion Operational Excellence

• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and execution.
• Collaborate closely with merchandising, marketing, and corporate partners to drive business objectives.
• Evaluate performance trends and implement strategies to improve productivity and outcomes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional retail environment.

What You Bring

Leadership Qualifications

• Proven success as a General Manager, Store Manager, District Manager, or similar retail leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, drive accountability, and achieve ambitious business goals.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze performance metrics and make strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment.
• Results-oriented mindset with a passion for developing people and growing business performance.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
• Minimum of five years of progressive retail management experience.
• Proven track record of leading teams, driving sales growth, and delivering operational excellence.
