Your role and responsibilities

ABB is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Service Sales Support Intern to join our Motion Services business in Singapore. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical sales support, proposal preparation, cost estimation, and customer solution development. Working closely with the Sales team and customers, you will help develop technical and commercial proposals while gaining valuable exposure to industrial service solutions and business operations within a global technology company.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to Motion Service sales for Singapore.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Support the Sales team in identifying and developing technically appropriate and cost-effective service solutions by understanding customer requirements and assisting with proposal development.

• Prepare and support the development of technical and commercial quotations, including technical descriptions, solution configurations, documentation, cost calculations, and proposal submissions.
• Analyze customer requirements, market trends, and competitor offerings to support solution positioning, pricing decisions, and business opportunities.
• Assist with proposal tracking and performance analysis, including reviewing lost opportunities, identifying improvement areas, supporting risk assessment activities, and maintaining accurate sales documentation.

Qualifications for the role

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Strong interest in technical sales, service operations, business development, and customer solutions within an engineering or industrial environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate technical and commercial information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, and committed to safety, integrity, and professionalism in alignment with ABB's values.
