Habitat Lenawee seeks a friendly, experienced, and highly customer oriented individual to fill this important role on our team. The Restore Associate assists with all aspects of running the Restore. The ideal candidate is a dependable, compassionate, problem solver, with great communication skills and previous retail or warehouse experience. This is a physically demanding role that involves lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, moving 90% of the workday.

Position Summary: The ReStore Associate supports the mission of Habitat Lenawee by receiving, cleaning, repairing donated materials, performing merchandise processing and pricing, inventory control, and merchandise allocation. In addition, the ReStore Associate schedules pick-ups and deliveries, and serves as back up Cashier as needed.
Compensation: $16.00-$18.00 Full-time (32-40 hours/wk), Hourly, Nonexempt
Company-paid training, medical/dental/vision, work/life balance with paid time off and generous paid holiday schedule.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Previous experience in customer service roles; Prior sales, merchandising, pricing, and inventory experience with knowledge of building materials, home improvement, and construction/deconstruction means methods techniques and materials is preferred.
Other Requirements: Cash handling experience; Effective interpersonal communication skills and demonstrates active listening skills, patience, the ability to interact and collaborate with a diverse group of people with a wide array of personalities, knowledge, and skill levels; Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of personality styles; Compassionately and ethically serves a diverse population; Basic computer skills, ability to navigate the internet, utilize software programs, and adaptability to use other technology related applications Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation to travel to locations throughout the county.
