Role summary:
Walmart is seeking a Manager, Transportation Maintenance to lead regional fleet maintenance operations while ensuring full compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing preventive maintenance programs, overseeing budgets, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and cost efficiency. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and external authorities to maintain safe, compliant work environments. About the team:
The Warranty team manages warranty recovery for fleet maintenance by reviewing work orders, identifying warrantable repairs, filing claims with OEMs, and overseeing the claim lifecycle to ensure reimbursement. The team supports field operations through training, process standardization, and regulatory compliance, promoting consistent execution and maximizing recovery. Collaborating with internal and external partners, the team drives preventive maintenance programs and operational efficiency while adhering to corporate policies and regulations. This group plays a vital role in sustaining fleet reliability and controlling costs within transportation maintenance operations.
What you'll do:

• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, laws, and regulations related to transportation maintenance by collaborating with internal and external experts.
• Develop, update, and communicate maintenance operating procedures and regulatory compliance programs.
• Manage preventive fleet maintenance programs, including safety audits, equipment lifecycle cost analysis, and warranty recovery.
• Oversee regional capital and operational budgets, controlling expenditures and reviewing profit and loss statements.
• Lead business plans and projects by setting priorities, removing obstacles, and measuring performance.
• Supervise, train, and develop associates, fostering a team-based work environment and conducting performance evaluations.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance related to transportation maintenance, including DOT, EPA, and OSHA requirements.
• Proven experience managing preventive fleet maintenance programs and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong financial acumen with expertise in profit and loss management, budgeting, and warranty recovery oversight.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising, mentoring, and developing teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Ability to analyze maintenance costs and operational metrics to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external regulatory authorities.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
