Job Description
Our Data & Analytics team partners closely with business stakeholders to deliver trusted data, analytics, and insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. We design, build, and maintain a modern cloud-based data platform that serves as the foundation for reporting, analytics, data products, and AI-driven solutions across our business.
As a Data Engineer II, you will play a key role in advancing our data ecosystem by designing, building, and optimizing scalable data solutions that transform raw data into trusted, analytics-ready assets. You will partner with engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver data products that drive business outcomes while helping evolve our data platform and engineering practices.
In this role, you will operate with a high degree of independence, owning solutions from design through implementation and support. You'll leverage modern cloud technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and engineering best practices to improve how data is delivered, governed, and consumed across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Design and deliver scalable data pipelines and integration solutions that provide trusted, accessible data for analytics, reporting, and business decision-making.
- Build and enhance enterprise data models and warehouse solutions that support reporting, self-service analytics, and emerging AI use cases.
- Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to transform business requirements into reliable, maintainable data products.
- Improve platform performance, reliability, observability, and operational efficiency through continuous optimization and automation.
- Lead technical problem-solving efforts, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex data issues.
- Contribute to engineering excellence through code reviews, technical design discussions, documentation, and adoption of best practices.
- Mentor and support other engineers while helping evaluate new technologies and approaches that improve data delivery capabilities.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related technical field, and 2+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience supporting data warehouse or data-focused projects involving ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) processes, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, mapping, and migration activities.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting production data pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL for data transformation, integration, and analytics workloads.
- Experience working with cloud-based data, analytics, or software platforms.
- Experience using source control and collaborative software development practices.
Preferred
- Experience with modern data warehousing, dimensional modeling, Data Vault, or similar data architecture methodologies.
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS, or related cloud data technologies.
- Experience developing data products, semantic models, or self-service analytics solutions.
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting and automation technologies.
- Relevant certifications in Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Microsoft Fabric, or related technologies.
