Position Summary

The Parts Wash Labor team member is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining production equipment parts, machine components, and processing tools used throughout the poultry facility. This position plays a critical role in supporting food safety, product quality, and operational efficiency by ensuring equipment parts are thoroughly cleaned and properly prepared for production use. Team members must follow all USDA, FDA, OSHA, company safety, and sanitation requirements.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, wash, sanitize, and reassemble production equipment parts and components.
• Operate high-pressure washers, cleaning systems, and sanitation equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Remove grease, debris, poultry residue, and other contaminants from equipment parts.
• Inspect parts for cleanliness, wear, damage, or maintenance concerns and report issues to leadership.
• Transport equipment parts and tools to and from designated wash and storage areas.
• Properly store sanitized parts to prevent contamination prior to production use.
• Follow all sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Utilize approved cleaning chemicals safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts wash area.
• Assist sanitation and maintenance teams as needed during plant operations and scheduled cleanups.
• Comply with all food safety, biosecurity, animal welfare, and workplace safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
