  • Explore approaches to harmonise data from different sources, technologies and stakeholders to improve data consistency, usability and integration.
  • Drive the development and validation of data models, standards, workflows and frameworks that support interoperable underground infrastructure data.
  • Work with agencies, industry and academia to address technical and operational barriers to data sharing and integration.

4. SpatialX Community of Practice

  • Contribute to the development and growth of the SpatialX Community of Practice as a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration and innovation.
  • Organise and support technical exchanges, learning journeys, industry engagements and showcases of emerging technologies.
  • Connect practitioners, researchers, agencies and technology providers to share best practices, lessons learnt and practical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for collaborative projects and translate community insights into new initiatives for the team.

[What we are looking for]

  • Qualification in Geomatics, Surveying, Geospatial Science, Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Other disciplines could be considered.
  • Experience or strong interest in underground mapping, geospatial technologies, infrastructure data management or related technology domains.
  • Familiarity with emerging mapping technologies (3D spatial data, GIS, BIM, data integration) or interoperability concepts would be an advantage.
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess technical solutions and translate findings into practical applications.
  • Good stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills, with the ability to work across government, industry and academia.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate pilots, manage deliverables and drive initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
