Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Governance in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service at a construction-related location. You will help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment while supporting site operations through clear communication, attention to detail, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of construction areas, offices, entry points, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and emergency responders while following established reporting and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
