About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Personal Financial Consultant to join our Retail Banking team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for providing wealth and insurance portfolio management solutions to the Bank’s clients while driving customer acquisition initiatives within the Mass Banking segment. You will work closely with customers to understand their financial goals and recommend suitable wealth management solutions, helping them build, preserve, and grow their wealth over the long term.
What you will be doing
- Provide financial advisory services to clients by offering wealth management solutions, including insurance, unit trusts, foreign exchange (FX), and deposit products.
- Take a consultative approach to understand each client’s financial goals and recommend suitable solutions to address their needs and support their journey towards financial freedom.
- Cross-sell the Bank’s full range of wealth management products to meet customers’ financial objectives.
- Provide clients with timely market insights, financial information, and professional advice to support informed decision-making.
- Engage customers through branch banking activities, tele-appointments, and customer referrals to expand business opportunities.
- Build and cultivate partnerships with internal segment partners to generate and reciprocate referrals.
- Proactively develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients while delivering excellent after-sales service.
- Establish new client relationships and manage existing portfolios to drive growth in Assets Under Management (AUM).
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in banking, wealth management, insurance sales, financial advisory, or related fields.
- Strong passion for wealth management, customer engagement, and financial planning.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong sales orientation with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Customer-focused mindset with a consultative approach to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented individual.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as FIMM, PCE, CEILI, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
