Campus Store Worker - Minneapolis

OVERVIEW

Job Title:Campus Store Worker  Pay: $16.50 Location: Minneapolis    Job Summary:The Minneapolis Campus Store is hiring a Student Worker for Tuesdays between 10-3pm.This position provides friendly, efficient customer service and supports the daily operations of the University of St. Thomas Campus Store on the Minneapolis campus. This position assists with sales, merchandising, and online order fulfillment while promoting a welcoming environment that reflects the mission and values of the university. Student workers play a key role in ensuring that students, faculty, staff, and visitors receive high-quality service and have a positive experience at the Campus Store.   Essential Functions: Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately.
• Answer questions about store products, promotions, and services.
• Uphold the university’s standards for customer care and hospitality.

Merchandising & Inventory

• Stock and organize merchandise and supplies.
• Assist with pricing, tagging, and inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
• Support seasonal product transitions (e.g., back-to-school, graduation, holiday).

Requirements:

• Must be a current University of St. Thomas student.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer and cash handling skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred:

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
