Description
Integrative Health & Longevity Coach
Location: Spring Hill/Columbia, TN Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Contract (Based on Availability) Specialty: Integrative Wellness, Functional Nutrition, Metabolic Health, Fitness & Lifestyle Optimization
Position Overview
At Matriarch Longevity, we believe that living longer means little if we aren't living healthier, stronger, and more fulfilled lives along the way.
Our mission is to empower women to take control of their health by understanding their bodies, identifying underlying factors that may be impacting their well-being, and making meaningful changes that support lifelong vitality.
We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and motivated Integrative Health & Longevity Coach who shares our belief that optimal health requires more than a prescription, a diet plan, or a temporary fitness routine.
The ideal candidate understands the connection between nutrition, gut health, hormones, metabolic function, physical fitness, sleep, stress, and emotional well-being. They appreciate both modern medical advancements and evidence-informed natural wellness approaches and know how to bring these elements together into practical, individualized lifestyle plans.
We are not simply looking for a dietitian or personal trainer. We want someone who sees the bigger picture, asks thoughtful questions, recognizes patterns, and helps women understand how their daily choices influence their health today and for years to come.
This individual will work closely with our medical providers and multidisciplinary wellness team to help clients interpret their health goals, understand provider-reviewed laboratory findings, implement personalized recommendations, and build sustainable habits that support long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Integrative Health & Longevity Coaching
- Conduct comprehensive lifestyle and wellness assessments evaluating nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress, energy, daily routines, and overall health goals.
- Develop individualized wellness plans that address each client's unique needs, challenges, and long-term goals.
- Help clients understand the relationships between gut health, hormonal balance, metabolic function, inflammation, stress, and overall well-being.
- Support women navigating perimenopause, menopause, weight changes, fatigue, metabolic concerns, and other common midlife wellness challenges.
- Educate clients on healthy aging, disease risk reduction, metabolic health, and lifestyle strategies that support longevity.
- Utilize motivational interviewing, behavior-change strategies, and ongoing accountability to help clients establish sustainable habits.
- Monitor progress through regular coaching sessions, measurable goals, and adjustments to individualized wellness plans.
Nutrition, Gut Health & Metabolic Wellness
- Provide evidence-informed nutrition education focused on whole foods, adequate protein, fiber, hydration, balanced nutrition, and metabolic health.
- Help clients understand how nutrition and lifestyle choices influence digestion, gut health, energy, and hormonal well-being.
- Support clients in identifying dietary patterns, habits, and lifestyle factors that may contribute to digestive discomfort or difficulty achieving wellness goals.
- Educate clients on the role of the gut microbiome, digestive health, and the gut-brain connection.
- Collaborate with medical providers and registered dietitians when specialized nutritional assessment, medical nutrition therapy, or treatment is needed.
- Support clients participating in medically supervised weight-management programs, including those receiving GLP-1 medications, with a focus on preserving lean muscle, adequate nutrition, and sustainable lifestyle changes.
- Encourage realistic, individualized nutrition strategies rather than restrictive diets or short-term solutions.
Physical Fitness, Strength & Functional Longevity
- Assess clients' activity levels, functional goals, and barriers to maintaining an active lifestyle.
- Develop individualized movement and fitness recommendations appropriate to the coach's training, certifications, and the client's medical needs.
- Emphasize the importance of strength training, muscle preservation, cardiovascular fitness, mobility, flexibility, and balance as essential components of healthy aging.
- Help women understand the relationship between muscle mass, metabolic health, bone health, and longevity.
- Support clients in establishing realistic fitness routines that fit their lifestyle and promote long-term consistency.
- Collaborate with personal trainers, physical therapists, and medical providers when specialized exercise programming or rehabilitation is indicated.
Functional Health, Laboratory Education & Supplement Guidance
- Possess a strong understanding of commonly used wellness and metabolic laboratory markers, including glucose, A1c, insulin, lipid panels, vitamin and mineral levels, thyroid markers, and relevant hormone testing.
- Review laboratory findings interpreted by the medical provider and help clients understand how those findings relate to their nutrition, activity, and lifestyle goals.
- Recognize when symptoms, laboratory findings, or health concerns require further medical evaluation.
- Collaborate with providers to support individualized wellness recommendations based on clinical findings and patient goals.
- Educate clients on evidence-informed supplementation, nutrient adequacy, and the potential role of professional-grade supplements when recommended by the medical team.
- Understand supplement quality, third-party testing, potential interactions, and the importance of individualized recommendations.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries regarding diagnosis, independent laboratory interpretation, prescribing, and treatment decisions.
Lifestyle Medicine & Natural Wellness Approaches
- Educate clients on the importance of natural light exposure, circadian rhythm regulation, sleep hygiene, and consistent daily routines.
- Incorporate stress-management strategies, mindfulness, breathwork, relaxation techniques, and other appropriate mind-body practices.
- Understand the potential benefits, limitations, and safety considerations of complementary wellness modalities, including red light therapy, recovery practices, and other evidence-informed approaches.
- Help clients build daily routines that support physical recovery, emotional resilience, energy, and overall well-being.
- Explore the impact of environmental exposures, lifestyle habits, and chronic stress on long-term health.
- Encourage clients to develop a balanced, sustainable approach to wellness rather than relying on quick fixes or unnecessary interventions.
Mental Wellness, Motivation & Long-Term Success
- Recognize the significant relationship between emotional well-being, stress, motivation, and physical health.
- Help clients identify behavioral patterns, emotional barriers, and lifestyle challenges that interfere with achieving their health goals.
- Utilize coaching techniques to improve motivation, consistency, confidence, and personal accountability.
- Support clients in developing a healthier relationship with food, movement, body image, and self-care.
- Collaborate with licensed mental health professionals when clients would benefit from counseling or additional emotional support.
- Foster a compassionate, judgment-free environment where women feel encouraged, empowered, and supported throughout their wellness journey.
Patient Experience & Collaborative Care
- Establish meaningful relationships with clients and serve as a consistent source of education, encouragement, and accountability.
- Work collaboratively with nurse practitioners, physicians, mental health therapists, nutrition professionals, and other members of the Matriarch wellness team.
- Participate in developing and refining individualized longevity and wellness programs.
- Track client progress using appropriate wellness assessments, body composition measurements, lifestyle goals, and provider-directed clinical indicators.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of coaching sessions, client goals, and progress.
- Assist in developing educational resources, wellness workshops, and programs focused on women's health and longevity.
- Stay informed on emerging research in nutrition, lifestyle medicine, metabolic health, exercise science, and healthy aging.
Required Qualifications
- Professional training or certification in health coaching, integrative health, nutrition, exercise science, or a closely related wellness discipline.
- Demonstrated experience providing individualized health, nutrition, fitness, or lifestyle coaching.
- Strong understanding of nutrition, metabolic health, physical fitness, sleep, stress management, and sustainable behavior change.
- Working knowledge of the relationship between gut health, hormones, metabolic function, and overall wellness.
- Familiarity with common wellness laboratory markers and the ability to provide education based on medical-provider interpretations.
- Understanding of evidence-based wellness practices and the appropriate use and limitations of complementary therapies.
- Excellent communication, motivational interviewing, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to translate complex health concepts into understandable, actionable recommendations.
- Passion for women's health, preventive wellness, and long-term lifestyle transformation.
Preferred Qualifications
- National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).
- Certification or advanced training through a recognized integrative or functional health coaching program.
- Education or certification in nutrition, exercise science, kinesiology, personal training, or a related discipline.
- Experience in functional medicine, integrative medicine, lifestyle medicine, or longevity-focused clinical settings.
- Specialized knowledge of women's hormonal health, perimenopause, menopause, and metabolic changes associated with aging.
- Experience with gut health, microbiome education, digestive wellness, and the gut-brain connection.
- Experience supporting clients through medically supervised weight-loss programs, including GLP-1 therapy.
- Familiarity with professional-grade supplements, supplement quality standards, and evidence-informed supplementation.
- Knowledge of red light therapy, circadian health, sleep optimization, and other complementary wellness modalities.
- Experience working collaboratively with medical providers and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Background in behavioral change, habit formation, and long-term client accountability.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is genuinely fascinated by how the human body works and passionate about helping women understand their own health.
This person doesn't simply hand a client a meal plan or recommend exercising more. They take the time to listen, connect the dots, understand the challenges, and help develop a realistic path toward better health.
They understand that a woman struggling with fatigue, weight changes, poor sleep, digestive issues, or lack of motivation may be experiencing several interconnected challenges that deserve thoughtful evaluation and an individualized approach.
Our ideal candidate is curious, compassionate, energetic, and committed to lifelong learning. They value scientific evidence while remaining open to complementary approaches that may enhance overall wellness.
Most importantly, they understand that meaningful transformation requires education, encouragement, consistency, and a relationship built on trust.
