Job Description

As a Security Officer City Service Building Area Patrol in Garden City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a government motor vehicle services location.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout public service areas, offices, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with established procedures, assisting with orderly entry and directing individuals to appropriate service areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
