Corporate & Finance – Structured Finance & Derivates - Repurchase Facility / Mortgage Finance – Senior Attorney

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking a Senior Attorney with a minimum of seven years of experience representing financial institutions in connection with master repurchase agreements, whole loan trades, and other secured lending transactions. The ideal candidate will have substantial law firm experience advising sophisticated clients on lender-side bilateral credit facilities. Added bonus if backed by commercial and/or residential real estate loans.

The successful candidate will be expected to take a leadership role in complex transactions while collaborating closely with clients and colleagues across the practice.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

1. Significant experience managing complex organizational and transactional due diligence.

2. Expertise in preparing and reviewing legal opinions.

3. A proven ability to oversee transactions from structuring and negotiation through closing.

4. Exceptional drafting skills, with the ability to produce sophisticated transaction documents with minimal supervision.

5. The ability to independently lead complex transactions and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

6. Experience mentoring and developing junior attorneys while fostering a collaborative team environment.

7. Strong judgment and the ability to anticipate legal and business issues before they arise.

8. A commitment to implementing best-in-class drafting standards, transaction management processes, and practice efficiencies.

This is a non-partnership track opportunity and salary will be commensurate with experience. The expected base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $435,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual performance bonuses and discretionary bonuses.  Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off.
