Description
As a Data Domain Lead, Corporate Functions, you will drive and coordinate data governance across the corporate functions of Fresenius SE, ensuring clear ownership, stewardship, and accountability for critical data assets. Acting as the central governance coordinator, you will connect enterprise-wide standards with operational execution and establish consistent governance practices across functions, domains, and transformation initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders, governance teams, and senior leadership to embed data quality, compliance, and lifecycle governance into daily operations and transformation initiatives. Your work will enable trusted, well-governed, and business-ready data that supports operational excellence and enterprise-wide decision-making.
Your responsibilities:
- Act as the central point of coordination for data governance across the corporate functions of Fresenius SE, ensuring clear ownership, stewardship, and escalation paths.
- Define and enforce governance policies, standards, and frameworks across data domains and stakeholders, with orchestration rather than delivery execution as the focus of the role.
- Ensure enterprise governance standards are consistently applied in transformation programs and business-as-usual operations.
- Coordinate execution across data quality, stewardship, lifecycle governance, and architecture alignment, while building additional execution capacity as demand grows.
- Manage local data accountability across the central functions and maintain alignment with enterprise governance standards.
- Own the orchestration and resolution of data quality, stewardship, and cross-domain governance issues, escalating to the Group Data Office where required.
- Ensure lifecycle governance and audit compliance are aligned across architecture, data management, and enterprise data domains.
- Advise business partners and senior stakeholders on complex governance requirements, translating them into reliable concepts and reviewing relevant solution proposals.
- Manage governance risks, remediation activities, and governance reviews to strengthen accountability and continuously improve governance processes.
Your qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in data governance, stewardship, and enterprise data management.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate enterprise-wide data governance initiatives across multiple functions and stakeholders.
- Experience managing cross-functional programs involving data quality, master data, metadata, and compliance requirements.
- Strong governance orchestration and decision-making facilitation skills, with the ability to align business priorities, governance standards, and operational execution.
- Experience coordinating complex initiatives in matrix organizations without direct authority.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities, including collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage governance risks, issue escalation, and remediation activities effectively, with a focus on standardization, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Fluent German and English, written and spoken.
