As a Senior Manager / Director – Data & AI Technology, you will play a key leadership role in defining PwC’s AI technology and development capabilities, helping clients move from experimentation to industrialised, scalable AI adoption.
About the Team
Our Data and AI team brings together experts across the end-to-end data and AI lifecycle – from strategy and governance to engineering, development, and industrial deployment. The team combines deep expertise in data platforms, AI and ML development, computer vision, and AI in industrial environments, working in a flat, collaborative setup with a strong international exposure across the Czech Republic and the wider CEE region.
About Your Manager
Tomas as a Partner in PwC leads the whole Document Automation team and cooperates with 4 team managers to create and execute our strategy. Tomas is passionate about team vision and delivering high services to our internal and external clients. He enjoys all outdoor sport activities, in particular cycling and cross-country skiing.
Job Description & Summary
As a senior leader within PwC's Data and AI practice in the Czech Republic, you will be responsible for shaping and scaling PwC's AI technology, engineering, and development capabilities. You will work with clients across industries to design, build, and deploy advanced AI solutions, while leading multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, engineers, and architects. You will:
Define and drive the strategic direction for AI technology, development, and engineering services within PwC.
Design and lead delivery of end-to-end AI solutions, from data engineering and model development to deployment and operation in production environments.
Act as a senior advisor to executives and technology leaders on AI architectures, platforms, and delivery models.
Lead complex client engagements involving advanced analytics, machine learning, computer vision, and AI applied in industrial and operational settings.
Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams across AI engineering, data science, and applied AI domains.
Contribute to PwC's market presence through thought leadership, demonstrations, and executive-level discussions focused on AI technology and value creation.
Requirements of the Role
Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in AI engineering, data science, advanced analytics, or AI technology leadership, ideally in consulting, industry, or large-scale digital programmes.
Strong hands-on or architectural experience with AI and ML development, data engineering, and deployment of AI solutions into production.
Experience with industrialised AI use cases, such as computer vision, predictive analytics, automation, or AI-enabled operations.
Strong understanding of modern AI technology stacks, platforms, and operating models (e.g. cloud, MLOps, scalable data platforms).
Commercial mindset, including experience supporting business development, shaping offerings, and growing client relationships.
Professional fluency in English and Czech.
