Overview
Our client is a seeking for Senior Systems Specialist to support enterprise infrastructure systems for a government body. This is a hands-on technical role focused on maintaining, supporting, and improving core infrastructure platforms in a stable and professional environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the infrastructure team supervisor and provide support across one or more technical areas depending on project assignment.
Responsibilities
- Report to infrastructure lead, responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and support of enterprise infrastructure systems for government body.
- Depending on project assignment, the role may cover one or more of the following areas:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux server support.
- Enterprise backup platform support.
- Windows Server / RDS / monitoring support.
Qualification
Mandatory Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3–5+ years of solid hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure support.
- Strong experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux server support, including installation, configuration, hardening, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Enterprise backup support, including Cohesity / NetBackup administration, troubleshooting, and recovery.
- Windows Server support, including RDS services, hardening, configuration, and monitoring.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a technical environment.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience supporting government or large enterprise IT maintenance projects.
- Familiar with ITIL processes such as Incident Management and Change Management.
- Familiar with ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy or OpenText SMAX.
- Exposure to infrastructure monitoring, backup recovery, server hardening, or OS administration will be an advantage.
