Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Unit Patrol in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and reliability while responding to routine security-related concerns with professionalism and attention to detail.

Pay Rate: $21.68 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and/or general support functions consistent with location protocols and healthcare environment expectations.
• Support staff and guests during routine operations and unexpected events by following post orders, communicating clearly, and escalating security-related concerns when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Hospital assignment requires compliance with vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting, as required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
