Overview
This position performs routine laboratory tests used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Responsibilities include serving as a patient advocate, providing clinical and technical support, performing phlebotomy and collection of lab specimens, processing patient specimens appropriately, ensuring accurate test results, performing quality control checks, maintaining required documentation, and communicating with clients. Work schedule is 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM with no weekends or holidays required. The position requires knowledge of laboratory collection and testing techniques, laboratory equipment operation and maintenance, medical terminology, and OSHA safety processes. Must have national accreditation with ASCP or equivalent, or be eligible with accreditation obtained within 6 months of hire date.
