Description
Join the City of Savage as a seasonal Sports Center Attendant and be part of a team that creates a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for the community. Gain valuable customer service, recreation, and facility operations experience while working in an active sports environment.
The Savage Sports Center season runs from November 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027.Daytime, evening, weekend and some holiday shifts available.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $19.57/hour - $21.17/hour
Full 2026 Pay Range: $19.57/hour - $25.78/hour
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Accept payments and process transactions accurately.
- Advise customers of procedures for reserving facility time and respond to questions regarding facility availability.
- Check in individuals and teams for reserved facility time and direct them to the appropriate field.
- Monitor the facility and ensure guests follow Savage Sports Center rules and regulations.
- Keep the lobby, fields, and other common areas clean, orderly, and free of debris.
- Perform light custodial duties, including: sweeping and mopping floors, restocking restroom supplies, cleaning restroom facilities, and maintaining other facility areas and equipment.
- Remove snow from the front entryway and sidewalk as needed.
- Notify appropriate public safety personnel in the event of a medical emergency, unruly behavior, domestic disturbance, fire, or other incident, and document incidents as required.
- Monitor building equipment, including lighting, heating, and air-conditioning systems, and notify appropriate personnel of equipment or system failures.
- Work cooperatively with other departments in the maintenance and operation of the Savage Sports Center.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of basic facility operations, maintenance, and safety practices.
- Skill in customer service, communication, and cash handling.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond appropriately to routine customer and facility needs.
- Ability to safely operate common facility equipment.
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility.
- Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Must be at least 18 years old by November 1, 2026.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays (hours between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a recreation, sports, customer service, or facility operations setting.
- Cash-handling or point-of-sale experience.
- Experience with custodial and/or light maintenance tasks.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
