The In-Room Dining Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for supporting the Room Service Manager in overseeing the daily operations of in-room dining. This role ensures prompt, professional, and high-quality service is delivered to guests in their rooms while helping to lead a motivated, guest-focused team. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in team supervision, service standards, guest satisfaction, training, and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Interviewing, selection, training, supervision, counseling, disciplining, and evaluating room service staff for the efficient operation of room service. Schedules and directs staff in their work assignments.
Responsible for ensuring that room service complies with sanitation and safety standards for guests and employees.
Responsible for ensuring that all equipment is in working order.
Monitors product quality and guest satisfaction in room service. Ensures that food quality is consistent, appealing, and prepared to guest specifications. Provides guidance for improvement and implements necessary adjustments for consistency.
Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food in outlet. Investigates and resolves guest complaints in a timely manner.
Coordinates special requests made to room service, including delivery of amenities.
Documents inventory forecast usage and monitor supply to ensure that room service is stocked with linen, glassware, silverware, china, condiments and other items necessary to provide appropriate customer service.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all Hilton Hotels policies and procedures that relate to room service as well as all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
What are we looking for?
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or culinary degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years of experience in room service or food & beverage operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience using POS systems, order management software, and basic reporting tools.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation procedures, and local health regulations.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Food Service Sanitation certification. Title 4 Liquor Training
