Salary/Hourly Rate:$22.54The Day Porter at the Center for Disease Control facility located in Fort Collins, Colorado operates on site during the working hours of the customer. This position is expected to ensure consumable products such as paper, soap, and feminine care products are in good stock during the shift. The day porter will be expected to adhere to a routine schedule of daily upkeep tasks such as policing, cleaning of glass and soiled toilets, overloaded trash removal, spills, and other requested needs from the customer as well as assisting the Lead Floor Care Specialist, and Project Manager on an as needed basis. This position might be called on to assist the Stock Clerk and/or Shipping and Receiving Clerk with items unsafe for one person to handle.
Primary Duties

- Maintains building interior by dusting and polishing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures; washing windows, counters, walls, ceilings, and woodwork; cleaning and vacuuming drapes, furniture, and maintaining/monitoring restrooms.
- Maintains building appearance by picking up paper and trash, and spot cleaning.
- Remove trash by emptying trash containers; transporting materials to disposal area; collecting recycling materials.
- Policing and maintaining entryways, hallways.
- Non‑disruptive daytime services: policing, service call response, dispenser refills, spill response, and minor requests within hours.
- Office and common area vacuuming.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintains safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Assist PM and Lead Floor Care Specialist as needed.
- Assist Stock Clerk as needed
- Assist Shipping and Receiving Clerk as needed.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
- At least one (1) year custodial experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to understand and follow direction.
- Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them.
- Must have good oral/verbal communication skills.
