Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and filing of monthly sales and use tax returns

  • Collect and organize documentation for sales and use tax audits

  • Coordinate with third-party providers to support audit processes

  • Maintain accurate location and rate data in RatePoint software

  • Review property tax payment recommendations from third-party providers

  • Track property tax payments for accrual and reporting purposes

  • Prepare monthly property tax accruals and sales tax journal entries

  • Support various indirect tax projects and audits as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales tax and property tax compliance

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High level of numerical accuracy and data management skills

  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable learning new software tools

  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with tax automation tools (e.g., RatePoint or similar)

  • Previous experience working with third-party tax service providers

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles related to tax
