ABOUT ROLE

Derris is looking for a Senior Account Executive, Integrated Communications to be responsible for leadership and strategic planning across a variety of clients, with a focus on influencer initiatives and helping brands activate across emerging platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience working across industries and is comfortable leading account teams with several team members. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about contributing to company culture and leadership, while also helping grow and mentor junior staff.

Location: This role is based in our New York, NY office on a hybrid basis. Derris staff are in-office 3 days per week, Tuesday through Thursday.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Provide client counsel on the best influencer strategy based on goals and a strong business case for their particular brand
  • Lead client relationships and day-to-day contact alongside senior members of the team
  • Develop and execute influencer paid and organic campaigns from strategic and creative brief development, influencer casting, outreach and relationship management, negotiations and contracts, content feedback and approvals, and measurement and optimization
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain strong media and influencer relationships
  • Ensure all influencer marketing activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements by region
  • Implement and enforce company policies regarding influencer marketing activities
  • Track, analyze, and report on key metrics related to influencer programs, such as traffic, conversion rates, and ROI
  • Use data insights to make informed decisions and optimize influencer campaigns for better performance
  • Set the tone for client meetings, while driving both internal and external projects forward
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners, including compliance, legal, creative, product marketing, data, and copywriting teams
  • Proficiently draft all client materials, including messaging, briefs and strategy documents
  • Manage both upwards and downwards, effectively communicating priorities and issues for team leaders
  • Pitch media across broadcast, print, and online, with a focus on feature and high-priority placements
  • Maintain strong attention to deadlines and ensure all projects are executed on time
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape to continually improve influencer programs
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities to build relationships and stay informed about the latest trends

Essential skills:

  • 3-5 years of Public Relations experience, agency experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to think through communication strategies and deliver tangible results
  • Understanding of the current social / digital as well as activation landscape and the unique advocacy strategies across platforms
  • Demonstrated knowledge of emerging trends and talent, with a finger on the pulse of what is relevant in our culture and societies today
  • Proven record of securing coverage through media relations, influencer engagement, and targeted outreach across traditional and emerging media platforms
  • Expertise in both organic and paid advocacy strategies
  • Ability to be detail-oriented, manage multiple clients and meet deadlines while also keeping the bigger picture in mind
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with daily management of junior level staff members
  • Capable of working both independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere
  • Comfortable working across industries

WORKING AT ORCHESTRA

Salary range: $75,000-$80,000, commensurate with experience..
