Position Summary
Rolls-Royce is looking for a Data Governance Solutions Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data governance frameworks, tools, and processes that ensure high-quality, secure, and compliant data across the organization. This role bridges business and technical teams to enable trusted data for decision-making, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
What you will be doing
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures
- Configure and manage data governance tools (e.g., data catalog, lineage, data quality platforms)
- Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and IT teams to ensure alignment with governance standards
- Define and monitor data quality rules, metrics, and remediation workflows
- Support metadata management, data lineage tracking, and business glossary development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Facilitate data stewardship programs and governance councils
Basic Requirements:
- Associates degree in STEM or business with 7+ years of experience with data governance OR,
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or business with 5+ years of data governance, OR
- Master’s degree in STEM or business with 3+ years of data governance, OR
- PhD in degree in STEM or business, OR
- In lieu of experience, 9+ years of experience in
- To be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in designing and implementing data governance/data management solutions
- Demonstrated project management experience in data governance environment
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to shape and translate business needs into comprehensive solutions
- Experience with policy development in a data governance environment
- Experience with data lifecycle management
- Experience with the following data governance tools: Collibra, Purview, Informatica
- DAMA CDMP Certification
- DGSP Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to influence at all levels
