The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Utilizes evidenced based practice and a team concept in the development and implementation of clinical departmental goals, policies, procedures, practices and safety standards. Designs safe clinical systems and assures that the staff deliver optimum quality of care and customer service by establishing and monitoring adherence to standards, policies, practices and procedures. Understands, articulates and ensures compliance with State Nurse Practice Act, State Board of Nursing Regulations, Regulatory agency standards and policies of the organization.
- Promotes teamwork, professional and personal growth and quality patient care with peers. Assures adequate staffing through preparation and coordination of clinical staff schedules. Monitors clinical staff time and attendance. Assures compliance with mandatory requirements, licensure and certifications. Ensures staff is educated on risk management and compliance issues.
- Maintains competency in performing PPDs, Respiratory Fit Testing and POCT testing utilized in the CHMG.
- Facilitates CHMG teams/committees that impact clinical practice; integrates and links CHMG committee initiatives to facility initiatives.
- Recommends and initiates changes in procedures and techniques as required. Assists staff in their professional development and in the identification of needed resources to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Advocates for patient rights and appropriate utilization of services.
- Serves as a clinical resource for the staff, healthcare providers, community members, patients and families; collaborates with all these parties to achieve optimal patient/program outcomes.
- Maintains a Quality Assurance program encompassing all departments; performs quality checks; collects, assembles and formats data for use in State, Federal, local and DNV inspections. Implements and monitors action plans to correct quality issues. Performs as a CHMG leader for quality improvement process. Recognizes trends in patient care delivery and explores opportunities for improvement, which are evidence-based.
- Analysis departmental services, operations and Performance Improvement (PI) to identify appropriate outcome levels; recommends measures to improve and enhance clinical operations. Consults and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team members to coordinate the management of patient care within the CHMG.
- Collaborates with directors and managers in preparing, planning, monitoring and executing budgetary standards, for both operational and capital budgets within CH guidelines and timeframe. Monitors clinical budget for appropriate utilization and demonstrates proactive vigilance in identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost reduction. Educates team members on financial implications of patient care decisions and allocates clinical resources based on measurement of patient volumes and care needed.
- Assures documentation of patient care activities as per documentation standards and assists healthcare team members with documentation. Evaluates outcomes of documentation and participates in performance improvement activities related to documentation.
- Conducts interviews and the hiring process; promotes staff retention. Interprets and evaluates employee satisfaction survey data.
- Monitors progress of clinical onboarding and assures documentation and scheduling of all clinical onboarding activities; Escalates issues when necessary.
- Maintains an onboarding checklist with deliverables, timeframes and milestones.
- Develops and supervises a clinical training program and a team of super-users to complete all training per identified workflows, policies and protocols.
- Serves as onboarding team clinical lead for all new practice acquisitions.
- Evaluates Clinical staff competency through direct observation, peer review, orientation and employee input. Evaluates own performance based on professional practice standards, relevant studies and regulations, and organizational criteria identifying areas of strength, via participation in a professional organization, 360 peer review, continuing education or self/professional/practice development activities.
- Responsible for ensuring current, accurate and complete licensure, documentation, and reporting requirements for NJ/PA State Proficiency Testing, NJ/PA State Laboratory Licensing, CLIA Licensing, Medical Waste Generator Licensing, Pharmaceutical Waste Licensing, CH policy and any other licensing/testing programs as needed.
- Participates in continuing education programs and in-services, including programs for enhancing patient care and patient satisfaction, quality assurance programs, performance improvement studies and multidisciplinary committees. Participates in meetings related to ambulatory care as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned; willingness to adapt to changing department demands.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- BSN degree.
- Four years of experience as an RN in a clinical setting required. Three years related supervisory or management experience preferred.
