Description
Join an international industrial organisation in Geneva as an FP&A CAPEX & Corporate Finance Specialist, overseeing Group investment performance, supporting budgeting and business planning, and providing financial insights to senior management and business units.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse Group investments, including new and second-hand assets, sale & leaseback transactions and industrial facilities.
- Track investment spending against approved budgets and investment envelopes, identify variances and coordinate corrective actions.
- Provide a consolidated cash and investment view at Group level, supporting management decision-making.
- Act as a key finance partner during budgeting and business planning cycles, working closely with Business Units, Procurement and Finance teams.
- Monitor the performance of investments on a quarterly basis, comparing actual ROI against the assumptions included in initial investment cases.
- Analyse investment performance using financial indicators including ROI, NPV, payback and sensitivity analysis.
- Contribute to the development of more efficient investment databases and reporting tools in collaboration with Data teams.
- Lead the industrialisation and improvement of management reporting and investment performance dashboards.
- Monitor corporate and transversal costs, including professional fees and other Group-level expenses.
- Identify and monitor cost-saving initiatives and action plans, ensuring progress is tracked over time.
- Prepare financial analyses, management presentations and executive-level summaries for senior management and shareholders.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support on strategic and corporate finance topics.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A, investment controlling and financial reporting processes.
- Travel to the Group's offices in the Paris region approximately once per month, with increased travel required during the initial handover period.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional experience in financial controlling, FP&A, investment controlling or a similar finance function; minimum 5 years required.
- Experience in an industrial, infrastructure, telecommunications or asset-intensive environment is highly valued.
- Strong experience in investment monitoring, budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills, including price/volume/mix analysis, phasing and financial modelling.
- Good understanding of P&L, balance sheet, intercompany transactions, multi-site and multi-currency environments.
- Strong knowledge of investment and corporate finance concepts, including ROI, NPV, payback period and sensitivity analysis.
- Ability to independently take ownership of complex and transversal topics with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Strong ability to analyse financial information and translate it into clear, concise messages for senior management.
- Strategic and transversal mindset, with an interest in investment and business topics beyond pure cost controlling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across Finance, Procurement, Business Units and Data teams.
- Fluent professional English, both written and spoken, as all reporting and management presentations are conducted in English.
- Master's degree from a leading French business school, engineering school or university, ideally with a specialisation in Finance.
- Previous experience in audit, consulting or transaction services is an advantage.
- Autonomous, analytical and proactive, with strong business acumen and a pragmatic approach.
