About the Role
Are you passionate about helping adults gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to achieve their career ambitions? We are seeking a Lecturer Assessor in Adult Skills to join our team.
In this rewarding role, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to adult learners, supporting them to achieve recognised qualifications and progress towards their personal and professional goals. You will work closely with learners, employers and colleagues to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes success and achievement.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to adult learners across a range of skills programmes.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet awarding body and curriculum requirements.
- Assess learner work, provide constructive feedback and monitor progress towards achievement.
- Conduct workplace observations and reviews where applicable.
Support learners to develop their vocational, employability and personal skills. - Maintain accurate learner records, assessment documentation and tracking information.
- Identify and implement additional support strategies to help learners achieve their goals.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Work collaboratively with employers, curriculum teams and external stakeholders to enhance learner outcomes.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities, including standardisation, internal verification and self-assessment processes.
- Ensure compliance with funding, quality assurance and awarding organisation requirements.
- Encourage progression opportunities into further learning, apprenticeships or employment.
About You
- A PGCE, Certificate in Education, or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A Level 3 qualification in Health, Social Care, Children and Young People's Services, or a related discipline.
- Experience of delivering workplace-based learning to adults.
- Experience teaching adult learners within Health, Social Care and/or Teaching Assistant programmes.
- Strong knowledge of assessment requirements and quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
- The ability to motivate, support and inspire adult learners.
- A commitment to maintaining high expectations and learner achievement
