Schedule: Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends!

Medical Veterinary Service is looking for an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate and dedicated team!

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
• Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to patients
• Safely handle and restrain patients during examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Obtain patient histories and communicate relevant information to the veterinarian
• Perform diagnostic testing, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and other in-house laboratory procedures
• Perform and assist with digital radiographs
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed
• Assist with anesthesia, including patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery
• Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, including weekend patient care as needed
• Perform venipuncture, sample collection, and other technical procedures appropriate to your experience and skill level
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
• Educate clients about medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and their pet’s ongoing healthcare needs
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and team members
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment areas, exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
• Work closely with veterinarians and support staff to keep patient care and hospital flow running smoothly

What You’ll Bring

• A minimum of two years of veterinary technician experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital
• Veterinary technician licensure is welcome but not required
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills
• Experience performing laboratory and diagnostic procedures
• Experience assisting with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring
• Strong technical and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and client education skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy veterinary environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• A collaborative, team-first approach

• A commitment to providing exceptional veterinary care
