Description
Digestive Disease Consultants is a busy gastroenterology practice located in Altamonte Springs with satellite offices in Lake Mary and Oviedo. We are seeking dynamic, organized, and professional individuals to join our team.
Position Requirements:
Position Requirements:
- Customer service/phone operator 1-year experience; preferably in a medical clinic setting.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to answer high call volume.
- Multitask with accuracy and communicate clearly.
- Maintain HIPAA guidelines and business practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and route them accordingly.
- Schedule, cancel and reschedule new and established patient appointments.
- Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
- Input new and updated patient information into the EMR.
- Assist with faxes and forwarding documentation to the appropriate person.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to view a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to converse and hear over the phone and in person in a professional manner.
Work Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office work environment.
- Very limited physical effort is required.
- Limited exposure to physical risk.
