About Our Family
We are a busy, active family living on scenic acres along the river in White Stone, Virginia. As entrepreneurs who each operate our own businesses, we balance full schedules, family life, and regular travel throughout the year. We value coming home to a household that feels organized, cared for, and running smoothly.
Our home is warm, welcoming, and full of life, shared with our two teenagers and three beloved pets. With a beautiful property, an active lifestyle, and ever-changing schedules, we value someone who can help keep the household organized, running smoothly, and well cared for—whether we’re at home or away.
We are a family that genuinely enjoys being at home, but the pace of our lives makes it challenging to keep everything running as smoothly and efficiently as we’d like. We’re looking for someone who naturally brings organization and structure to a busy household and is excited by the opportunity to create systems and routines that truly work for our family.
Rather than stepping into a home with rigid processes already in place, the right person will have the freedom to build thoughtful systems from the ground up, bring ideas and recommendations to the table, and help us become more organized along the way. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership and seeing the impact of what they’ve created.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who wants to become a trusted, long-term part of our household and grow alongside our family for years to come.
Who You Are
You bring the confidence and life experience to do more than simply execute a task list. You anticipate needs, think ahead, and genuinely partner with a family to determine how their home can run most efficiently. You’re comfortable making thoughtful recommendations, offering guidance, and taking ownership rather than waiting to be told what comes next.
At your core, you’re a natural project manager. You’re someone who:
- Sees the big picture while staying on top of the smallest details
- Comfortably manages multiple priorities without letting things fall through the cracks
- Communicates proactively through consistent check-ins and updates
- Anticipates needs and offers thoughtful solutions and recommendations
- Is tech-savvy and confident using tools like Google Docs, Slack, and similar platforms
- Can effectively manage projects and administrative responsibilities remotely when appropriate
Above all, you are dependable and consistent. You don’t just come in strong—you maintain that same level of ownership, initiative, and attention to detail over time. You take genuine pride in the systems you create, the home you help manage, and becoming a trusted partner to the family you support.
This is a dynamic household management role, and responsibilities will naturally vary from week to week. The Household Manager will work in partnership with the family to prioritize what needs attention within the guaranteed 20-25 hour schedule. Some responsibilities are recurring, while others are seasonal, occasional, or project-based.
