UWB Connectivity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve Ultra-Wideband (UWB) communication issues between smartphones and vehicle ECUs
• Debug CCC UWB ranging and positioning sessions
• Investigate Secure Time Stamp (STS) failures, session recovery issues, and timing inconsistencies
• Analyze and interpret: UWB logs, Session Manager logs, Ranging frames, Diagnostic traces
• Support CCC Digital Key Release 2 / Release 3 integration activities
• Investigate BLE ↔ UWB interaction issues during Digital Key operations
• Troubleshoot: Session drops, Ranging failures, Inconsistent distance measurements, STS mismatches, Recovery sequence failures
• Support vehicle validation, certification, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with BLE, Security, System Architecture, and Validation teams.
• Contribute to system performance optimization and reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) protocol
• Experience debugging secure ranging communication between smartphone and embedded devices
• Understanding of CCC UWB session architecture
• Experience analyzing UWB traces, Session Manager logs, Ranging frames, STS index handling, Recovery sequences
• Strong understanding of UWB concepts: STS (Static / Dynamic), Session configuration, Controller vs Initiator roles, Distance measurement techniques, Timestamping, Synchronization
• Understanding of CCC Digital Key Release 2 and Release 3.
• Knowledge of BLE-UWB interactions in Digital Key systems.

What do I need before I apply

• This position implies international relocation for 12 months (France).#LI-AT1
