We are looking for reliable and motivated Packers to join our production team in Hallam on 6-month maximum term contracts. This is a hands-on role within a busy food manufacturing environment, supporting the packing, labelling and preparation of finished products to meet safety, quality and production standards.
About the Role
- Packing on production lines.
- Manually packing finished products and stacking pallets safely and efficiently
- Using a walkie stacker, where required
- Operating carton sealers and taping machines
- Applying labels and checking printed codes on packets and cartons
- Completing paperwork in line with site procedures and food safety requirements
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work area, including general housekeeping and cleaning duties
About You
You will be a good communicator, who is dependable, safety-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. You will have good attention to detail, be able to follow instructions and procedures, and work well as part of a team.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday shifts are available across day, afternoon and night shift:
- Day shift: 6.00am – 2.06pm
- Afternoon shift: 2.00pm – 10.06pm
- Night shift: 10.00pm – 6.06am
Weekend overtime may also be available.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous production or packing experience on a production line, ideally within a food manufacturing environment
- Certificate I in Food Processing, or similar, would be highly regarded but is not essential
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Understanding of workplace and food safety (HACCP)
Physical Requirements
- This role is based in a food manufacturing environment. Employees are required to wear PPE, including eyewear and hearing protection, and follow all safety, hygiene and quality procedures.
- This is a physically active role and requires standing and walking on concrete floors, lifting and carrying up to 10kg, bending, twisting, reaching, gripping and regular neck movements.
Candidates must be willing to complete a pre-employment medical and provide evidence of their right to work.
