Position: Staff Product Manager
Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089
Duties: Develop and champion product vision, strategy, and roadmap for membership management using domain expertise and internal and external best practices and unlock new capabilities to deliver value to Walmart’s members at scale. Create A/B test plans to validate assumptions, hypotheses, and strategies and leverage statistical analyses. Define offline evaluation Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to validate whether new experiences and flows are better than existing ones. Influence the prioritization of product roadmaps by applying prioritization techniques such as the RICE Model and evangelize the strategy with relevant teams across the company. Accelerate the execution of strategies by leading cross-group alignment and prioritization. Understand trends around membership based eCommerce. Identify opportunities and gaps for Walmart and build account management capabilities at scale that deliver even more value for members and associates. Drive product discovery processes for membership management, personalized memberships, and churn prevention workstreams for Walmart+ membership. Build collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from senior leadership. Implement and deploy product functionalities by working with a team of Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and User Experience Designers. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 5 years of experience in product management; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering (any), or related area and 7 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in product management.
Skills required: Experience identifying customer needs by conducting in-person or online surveys, interviews, and testing. Experience identifying gaps in shopping experience by analyzing large volumes of customer data collected from a website using Omniture, Tealeaf, Opinion Labs, and Clarabridge. Experience using SQL queries, R, Linear Regression, and Logistic Regression to identify opportunities to improve targeting algorithms for churn prevention. Demonstrated knowledge of Information Retrieval techniques: Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Graphs, and Machine Learning. Experience applying the following techniques and tools to ensure the timely delivery of site features and mitigate risks: Design Thinking, Agile Methodologies, and JIRA. Experience creating business requirements. Experience leading cross-functional teams in delivering website features. Experience creating A/B test plan to validate assumptions, hypotheses, and strategies using statistical analysis. Experience defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve the performance of the website functions. Experience conducting financial analysis and assisting in the creation of business plans. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $179,421/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
