Summary:
As a Technology Platform Engineer, a typical day involves designing and setting up both production and non-production cloud environments tailored to specific projects or products. This role requires careful orchestration of software tools to build platforms that support various development and operational needs. The engineer actively deploys automation pipelines to streamline the creation and configuration of these environments, ensuring efficiency and consistency. Collaboration with different teams to align environment setups with project requirements is a key aspect, along with continuous monitoring and refinement of the deployed solutions to maintain optimal performance and reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the implementation of automation strategies to enhance environment provisioning and configuration.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team to foster skill development and innovation.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure seamless integration of platform components.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying bottlenecks and proposing effective solutions.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Mainframe Modernization.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure setup and management related to mainframe environments.
- Strong understanding of automation tools and scripting for environment deployment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and environment issues.
- Familiarity with configuration management and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and platform engineering.
-5+ years experience
- COBOL programming language
- Proficiency on batch/JCL and online/CICS
- DB2 SQL
- Online and batch program design and implementation
- Knowledge on Gitlab, CI/CD pipelines
- Testing experience (UT, UIT, E2E) and automation
- L3 support
- Agile methodology

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Mainframe Modernization.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
