Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Project Manager to join our Data Center Operations team in Navi Mumbai, India.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the full lifecycle planning, execution, and delivery of critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects to support operational growth and high availability standards.
You will join a dynamic, cross-functional team of technical experts, vendors, and operations specialists dedicated to delivering seamless, high-quality data center infrastructure solution projects on time and within budget.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Direct end-to-end mechanical and electrical project lifecycles—from scoping, budgeting, and resource scheduling to site execution—delivering comprehensive project outputs, financial reports, and status updates on schedule.
- Collaborate with internal operations teams, external contractors, and vendors to manage equipment procurement, negotiate contracts, and align cross-functional workflows with minimal operational disruption.
- Ensure compliance with data center technical specifications, safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control protocols through regular site inspections, risk assessments, and design reviews.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years of overall project management experience, including at least 3 years specifically managing mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects within data centers or similar critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, cooling infrastructure, power distribution networks, and building management systems.
- Proven ability in project management software (such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or Primavera P6), vendor and stakeholder management, budget tracking, and risk mitigation.
- A background in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field, with professional certifications such as Certified Data Center Professional, American National Standards Institute / Telecommunications Industry Association standards expertise, International Organization for Standardization 14644 familiarity, or Agile methodologies strongly preferred.
