Rate of Pay: $25 - $29/hr

As an Installer, your mission is to deliver clean, reliable, and well-documented IT installations that keep UNIS sites and offices running smoothly. You are responsible for installing, configuring, and commissioning end-user devices, networking equipment, RF and printing hardware, and basic AV across UNIS facilities. By leveraging IT ticketing platforms, asset-management tools, AI-enabled diagnostic and documentation assistants, and remote-support tools, you complete installs faster while keeping inventory, security, and standards intact. This role plays a critical part in providing UNIS associates with the technology and connectivity they need to serve customers.

Your Impact: 

As an Installer, you will: 

IT Installation & Deployment:

· Install, configure, and commission end-user devices, RF / mobile scanners, label and shipping printers, networking equipment, and basic AV gear at UNIS sites and offices.

· Follow standard build sheets, runbooks, and security baselines for hardware imaging, software loadout, and network connectivity.

· Use AI-enabled diagnostic and documentation assistants to accelerate installs, validate configurations, and capture install records cleanly.

Asset Management, Tickets & Support:

· Update IT asset records, serial numbers, ownership, and location data in asset-management and ticketing platforms after every install or move.

· Respond to installation, replacement, and remediation tickets within agreed SLAs, providing clear updates to users and IT support partners.

· Partner with IT Support, Networking, and Operations on troubleshooting, escalations, and post-install validation.

Documentation, Standards & Continuous Improvement:     

· Maintain accurate   cabling, rack, and site documentation, photos, and diagrams for installed   equipment.

· Follow security, safety,   and electrical standards on every install, escalating concerns where   standards cannot be met.

· Surface ideas to improve   install templates, runbooks, AI-assisted documentation, and the overall   install experience.

What You Bring to the Table: 

· High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree, IT certifications (A+, Network+), or equivalent technical training preferred.

· 1-3+ years of IT installation, field-tech, or end-user support experience in a warehouse, distribution, or office environment preferred.

· Working knowledge of end-user hardware (PCs, mobile devices, RF scanners, printers), basic networking (Wi-Fi, switches, cabling), and AV components.

· Familiarity with IT ticketing systems, asset-management platforms, and remote-support tools.

· Comfort using AI-enabled diagnostic, documentation, and runbook assistants to accelerate installs and improve quality.

· Strong attention to detail with strong documentation discipline and respect for security standards.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical users.

· Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, and travel between UNIS sites as required.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams.

· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple installs and ticket queues.

· Flexible availability to support installs outside business hours and willingness to travel as the business requires.
