Position Overview

VitalCheck Wellness is recruiting an experienced Emergency Medical Technician / LPN to support an onsite workplace health clinic in New York, NY.

The primary responsibility of this assignment is to observe patients following vaccination and respond appropriately to any post-vaccination concerns or reactions within the scope of the role.

We are seeking a dependable healthcare professional with strong patient-care skills, excellent communication, and the ability to create a calm and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Observe patients during the required post-vaccination observation period.
  • Monitor patients for signs or symptoms requiring additional evaluation or escalation.
  • Follow established clinic protocols for responding to post-vaccination concerns.
  • Record required patient and clinic information accurately.
  • Provide patients with clear instructions and next steps.
  • Maintain patient privacy, professionalism, and respectful communication.
  • Provide excellent patient service in a professional workplace environment.
  • Support patient flow, documentation, and basic administrative or clerical needs related to the clinic assignment.
  • Communicate appropriately with onsite clinical staff and other members of the clinic team.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid EMT certification/LPN New York.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • 3+ years of relevant EMT, clinical, emergency response, or direct patient-care experience preferred/required.
  • Experience with post-vaccination observation or vaccination clinics strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable recognizing symptoms that require escalation to the appropriate licensed clinical provider or emergency response.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Patient-focused with excellent bedside manner and customer-service skills.
  • Experience in high-volume vaccination clinics, emergency departments, urgent care, EMS, or other fast-paced healthcare environments is a plus.
  • Dependable and able to work the full scheduled clinic assignment.
  • Must be able to commute reliably throughout New York, NY.
