The Engineering III earns a competitive salary of $63,800.00 annually. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A ENGINEER III

As an Engineer III, you spend your day designing municipal water, sewer, storm drainage, and roadway and traffic systems. Your job is essential, and you implement it into the City's infrastructure and coordinate effectively to resolve design or development issues. You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise. This can include reviewing reports, drawings, specifications and calculations for water supply and sewage systems to ensure compliance with industry codes, regulations and City ordinances. You generally review and approve storm water pollution prevention plans for new construction. You also assist in residential, commercial improvement and subdivision plats. You enjoy being helpful and have no problem providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed. The city needs someone like you with skills in operations in infrastructure, and you finding genuine enjoyment in what you do!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A ENGINEER III

• Bachelor's degree of Science in Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Master's Degree in related field and Professional Engineer License
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience
  • Six (6) years of experience
• Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test administered by the City of Edinburg at the city's expense
• Must be a registered Professional Engineer with the State of Texas or approved equivalent with relevant experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.
