Job Title

Manufacturing Engineer Final Assembly & Aircraft Systems

Who are we?

As an aircraft manufacturer, industrialist, industrial service provider and logistician, Daher currently has approximately 14,500 employees and achieved a revenue of 1.9 billion euros in 2025. With its family ownership, Daher has been focused on innovation since its creation in 1863. With locations in 15 countries across Europe, North America and Asia, Daher designs and develops value-added solutions for its aeronautical and industrial customers and partners

Daher’s Sandpoint, Idaho site is a key U.S. aircraft manufacturing and support location specializing in the hand‑built production of the Kodiak aircraft family. The facility supports final assembly, painting, inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities for the Kodiak 100 and Kodiak 900, serving commercial, multi‑mission, and public service customers worldwide. In addition to manufacturing, the site provides comprehensive aircraft maintenance, technical support, and quality oversight, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and customer requirements, while continuing to expand production capabilities and reinforcing its role as a center of excellence for rugged, mission‑ready turboprop aircraft within Daher’s global network.

We are seeking to add a Manufacturing Engineer (Electronical & Avionics Focus) to join the team closest to the aircraft, the mechanics, and the production challenges that matter. In this hands-on role, you will own manufacturing engineering support for Final Assembly and aircraft systems, translating design intent into safe, repeatable, efficient, and configuration-controlled installation processes.

The position may be filled at a developing, experienced, or senior level. Title, scope, and compensation will be aligned with the selected candidate’s experience and demonstrated capability.

Primary Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work side-by-side with mechanics to solve build issues, eliminate root causes, and improve safety, ergonomics, quality, and flow.
  • Own and improve FAL build sequences, operation content, routings, and manufacturing methods for aircraft systems installations.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability input on new designs and changes, then carry practical solutions through implementation.
  • Reconcile eBOM and mBOM content and keep ERP, PLM, drawings, models, and shop-floor execution aligned.
  • Create manufacturing drawings, CAD models, work instructions, tooling requirements, and technical change cases.
  • Partner with Design Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Tooling, and Configuration Management.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, aerospace, mechanical, electrical, industrial, or a related field.
  • Experience in aerospace, aircraft final assembly, aircraft systems integration, or another complex low-rate assembly environment.
  • Practical knowledge of several aircraft systems, such as electrical, electronics, avionics, hydraulics, oxygen, brakes, fuel, flight controls, or environmental systems.
  • Demonstrated production support, troubleshooting, root-cause problem solving, and DFM capability.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and 3D models.

Especially Valuable:

General aviation or aircraft FAL experience; eBOM/mBOM reconciliation; manufacturing drawings and CAD modeling; Epicor E10 or SAP; Teamcenter; Siemens NX; Lean or continuous improvement; and experience operating as a trusted technical partner to a lead or manager.

Why Kodiak Aircraft in Sandpoint?

Your work will show up directly on the aircraft. You will have meaningful ownership, broad cross-functional visibility, and the opportunity to grow into greater technical or leadership responsibility. Sandpoint combines hands-on aerospace work with Lake Pend Oreille and Schweitzer Mountain nearby.

Information related to the position:

  • The compensation range is $70,000 to $140,000 in base salary plus an annual target bonus.

  • The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Daher considers a number of factors when determining salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, skills, and current market conditions.

  • At Daher, your total rewards package is more than just your base salary as we offer a full benefit package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and more.

  • Approximately 10% travel. Individual contributor role.

  • Daher will not be able to sponsor a person on a work visa in this position, which includes those who will require a transfer of visa sponsorship.

Your next opportunity starts here — here are the next steps:

  • Review of your application

  • An initial conversation with a recruiter
