The Market Outreach team is a strategic function within S&P Global Ratings responsible for building and strengthening relationships with the global investment community and other key market participants. The team acts as the voice of the market within Ratings, helping ensure that investor perspectives inform business priorities, analytical thought leadership, and commercial strategy.
As Global & Americas Head of Market Outreach, you will lead the global Market Outreach organization while maintaining direct accountability for the Americas region. You will oversee a geographically dispersed team responsible for engaging buy-side investors, asset owners, private market participants, and other influential stakeholders across public and private credit markets. This role combines leadership of the current Global Head of Market Outreach and Americas Head of Market Outreach mandates into a single strategic leadership position.
The role will partner closely with Analytical leadership, Commercial leadership, Regional Heads of Sales, Growth & Enablement (Product), Marketing, Research, Compliance, and senior management across Ratings to ensure market engagement is coordinated, compliant, insight-led, and aligned with enterprise priorities.
The Impact:
This is one of the most visible external-facing leadership roles within S&P Global Ratings. You will be responsible for defining and executing a global market outreach strategy that strengthens S&P Global Ratings' position as a leading provider of credit ratings, research, and market insights.
Through direct engagement with investors and industry leaders, you will ensure the organization remains closely connected to evolving market dynamics, emerging risks, investor sentiment, and new growth opportunities. The role is instrumental in supporting strategic priorities across traditional fixed income, structured finance, private credit, fund finance, private markets, insurance, asset management, and other evolving capital market sectors.
A key objective is to generate actionable market intelligence that helps shape commercial strategy, supports analytical excellence, and informs executive decision-making across the organization. Success in this role requires the ability to operate with a global enterprise perspective, influence senior stakeholders internally and externally, lead through complexity and ambiguity, and represent S&P Global Ratings as a recognized market thought leader.

Responsibilities:
Define and execute a global Market Outreach strategy aligned to S&P Global Ratings' long-term business, analytical, and commercial priorities.
Lead the global Market Outreach organization, including responsibility for talent strategy, team performance, succession planning, coaching, and organizational effectiveness.
Maintain direct accountability for Market Outreach activities across the Americas region while ensuring consistent execution and strategic alignment across EMEA and APAC.
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with influential investors, asset owners, insurers, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, private credit managers, fund finance participants, asset managers, and other market stakeholders.
Ensure S&P Global Ratings remains closely connected to evolving market trends, investor sentiment, emerging risks, and new areas of market opportunity.
Generate and disseminate actionable investor insights that support analytical excellence, commercial growth, strategic planning, and executive decision-making.
Partner closely with Analytical leadership, Commercial leadership, Growth & Enablement (Product), Marketing, Research, and other stakeholders to coordinate market engagement efforts and maximize enterprise impact.
Serve as a senior representative and brand ambassador for S&P Global Ratings at conferences, executive forums, client meetings, and industry events.
Drive thought leadership initiatives that enhance S&P Global Ratings' visibility, credibility, and influence within global capital markets.
Leverage technology, AI, and data-driven approaches to strengthen market intelligence capabilities and improve organizational effectiveness.
Establish appropriate KPIs and performance metrics to measure outreach effectiveness, strategic impact, and market engagement outcomes.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, inclusion, innovation, and continuous development across the global team.
Ensure all Market Outreach activities are conducted in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
This role requires up to 50% travel domestically and globally.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates:) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is 360,700 USD to 420,000 USD. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 15+ years of experience in structured finance, fund finance, private credit, credit ratings, investment management, capital markets, investor relations, relationship management, or a related field.
Demonstrated success leading global or multi-regional teams and delivering results through complex matrixed organizations.
Deep understanding of global credit markets, institutional investors, private markets, structured finance, and fixed-income investing.
Track record of building trusted relationships with senior market participants and executive stakeholders.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across markets, cultures, and organizational levels.
Experience developing and executing strategic initiatives that create measurable business impact.
Demonstrated ability to translate market trends and investor feedback into actionable commercial, analytical, and business recommendations.
Proven capability to operate effectively in environments characterized by ambiguity, complexity, and evolving priorities.
Strong people leadership experience, including coaching, talent development, succession planning, and performance management.
Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence outcomes without direct authority.
Demonstrated strategic thinking, commercial acumen, enterprise ownership, and accountability for results.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
Flexibility to travel globally as required.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience within a credit rating agency, institutional investor, asset management firm, private credit platform, investment bank, or other capital markets organization.
Expertise in one or more strategic growth sectors including private credit, fund finance, structured finance, insurance, private markets, sustainability, or alternative investments.
Demonstrated ability to influence industry dialogue and establish credibility as a recognized market thought leader.
Experience representing an organization at industry conferences, media engagements, or executive-level external forums.
Strong understanding of how data, AI, and technology can be leveraged to improve market intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and business outcomes.
Master's degree, MBA, CFA, or other relevant professional qualifications.
Understanding of S&P Global Ratings' business model, analytical processes, products, and market positioning.
