RMIT Vietnam is seeking an Audio Visual Specialist ensures the seamless operation, maintenance, and enhancement of audiovisual technologies across learning and meeting spaces to support teaching, events, and collaboration. The role also leads AV projects, manages vendors and stakeholders, develops user training resources, and recommends innovative solutions to improve the university's AV environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Audio Visual Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of audiovisual systems within RMIT Vietnam's classrooms, theaters, and meeting rooms. This role will involve liaising with the Australian team to uphold the university's high standards for AV infrastructure and services. The role will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of AV services, as well as leading and executing projects to fit out new AV spaces and implement innovative initiatives.

Key Accountabilities Summary

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of all audio-visual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
  • Monitor the performance of AV systems and troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
  • Work with external vendors on the delivery, implementation and handover of new AV projects and room refresh.
  • Collaborate with the Australian team to understand and implement the university's AV standards and guidelines.
  • Provide recommendations on new AV initiatives and prepare plans and requirements for RMIT Vietnam.
  • Create and maintain AV user educational literacy, such as room operational guides, training demo videos and online FAQ assistance for AV technologies.
  • Liaise with customers and stakeholders requesting AV fit-out services, understand and capture the business needs and operational requirements.
  • Complete regular and ongoing reassessments and analysis of AV and provide input and recommendation for continuous improvement of tools and or processes.
  • Managing AV documentation resources to include room information, schematics, equipment lists, technical and operational manuals, and AV software.
  • Maintain depth of knowledge and understanding of AV industry trends and the range of vendor technologies to meet the AV requirements for the University.
  • Other duties commensurate with the scope of the role

Key Selection Criteria

  • A Bachelor degree in relevant field
  • Significant experience within a Technical AV environment working on large scale projects including vendor management.
  • Demonstrated AV installation experience, project management experience desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in AV technical knowledgebase, AV design, and CAD packages.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships in a collaborative and engaging manner with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated superior analytical and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and delivery a quality service to the University.
  • Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position and RMIT Values.
