What is the opportunity?
The Junior Commission Data Specialist provides operational support to the Commission Coordinators in processing insurance commission statements within the WMFS database. The role serves as a backup for the Commission Coordinators during absences and vacations, and acts as a primary point of contact for commission-related inquiries across the organization. This includes answering questions on commission calculations, projections, amendments, and advances; liaising with life insurance company commission departments on chargebacks and inquiries; and maintaining database accuracy through licensing administration and reconciliation processes.
What will you do?
- Maintain advisor profiles and licensing data – Update FOS member profiles, add/terminate licenses, and manage database records based on Registration Department communications
- Manage commission contracts – Administer commission contracts on the database aligned with licensing changes and business requirements
- Support internal controls – Investigate commission data discrepancies and escalate issues to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Process commission statements – Assist Commission Coordinators with weekly statements, projections, amendments, advances, and reconciliation activities
- Validate commission rates and projections – Update insurance commission rates and verify accuracy of commission projections.
- Respond to commission inquiries – Address internal questions regarding commission calculations, processing, and projections
- Manage field advisor requests – Via Email or Process Salesforce case requests and liaison with life insurance company departments on chargebacks, inquiries, and policy amendments
- Maintain documentation and process improvements – Track process changes, update documentation, and support Wealth Tracker processes
What do you need to succeed?
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Clear and professional communication skills for working with internal teams, field advisors, and external partners
- Ability to work independently and as backup for commission coordinators
Must-have:
- Basic database and records management skills
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reconciliation, competency across Microsoft Office suite
- Basic accounting skills
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of financial services or insurance commission processing is an asset
- Knowledge of Life Insurance and A&S products is an asset
- Knowledge of advisor commission payment process is an asset

Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$55,000.00 - $90,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
