Controller

Van Dyk Health Care in Hawthorne, NJ is looking for an experienced Part-Time Controller to become part of our team. This position is 24 hours per week at a rate of $65.00 per hour.

In this role, the Controller will manage our accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, accounts payable, billing, collections, payroll oversight, bank reconciliations, audits, regulatory filings, and related financial analysis.

We are hoping to find someone with strong accounting experience, good attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to managing financial priorities in a senior living environment.  Experience in a family-owned business environment would be a welcome plus.

Responsibilities may include:

• Managing accounting and finance operations
• Preparing and analyzing financial statements
• Managing budgets, cash flow, billing, collections, and accounts payable
• Coordinating audits, tax filings, and regulatory reports
• Reviewing bank reconciliations and financial controls
• Supporting payroll, 401(k), and other finance-related processes
• Collaborating closely with management and department leaders

Qualifications:

• Strong accounting and financial management experience
• Experience as a Controller or Senior Accountant is preferred
• Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, general ledger, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Experience in healthcare, assisted living, or long-term care is helpful
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• A positive, approachable personality with strong people skills and the ability to work well with others

Schedule: Part-Time, 24 hours per week
Pay: $65.00 per hour
