Basic Purpose of the Job:
Under direct supervision, responsible for the maintenance of the Pavilion building, event set up and customer service assistance. Knowledge, maintenance and utilization of the sound and lighting systems in the Performing Arts Center and maintenance of the other mechanical systems of the Pavilion.Essential Functions:

Moderate to strenuous physical work requiring ability to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds; frequent lifting, carrying, walking and standing, hand/eye coordination for operation of personal computer; vision for reading documents; frequent speech communication, hearing and listening to maintain communications with employees and citizens. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasional indoor office work requires sitting at a desk or table for periods of time and the use of a computer and screen. Occasional outside work, with exposure to outside elements. Requires driving and walking during inclement weather. Frequent exposure to cleaning products including bleach as well as other chemicals such as oils, solvents and paint.Late applications will not be accepted. - Work with the Pavilion Manager on adjusting the staff requirements to meet the needs of each event including lighting, sound, set-up, and customer service.
- Responsible for the overall production and coordination of Pavilion events and functions.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness of the Pavilion facilities, including event rooms, auditorium, restrooms and grounds.
- Perform a variety of duties in the areas of grounds maintenance, set-up and event support.
- Provide a high level of customer service to the users of the Pavilion and customers during events.
- Perform maintenance of the Pavilion mechanical systems, i.e., heating plant and electrical and air conditioning systems as well as minor building repairs as needed. Inspect and maintain tools and equipment.
- Make repairs to the systems and inform the Pavilion Manager of any major problems requiring outside professional assistance.
- Perform tasks including light and sound equipment operation during events. Maintain the sound and lighting systems for the Performing Arts Center and assist the appropriate clients with operating the systems used during performances.

- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Three (3) years experience working in a similar position in a civic/performing arts center performing similar duties or a combination of education and experience required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights and weekends.
- Technical school certification in electrical/lighting/sound systems preferred.
- Current Colorado driver's license with acceptable record.
