Who We Are
Liberation Academy is a free public charter school in College Park, Georgia, dedicated to academic excellence, community collaboration, and the holistic development of every scholar in South Metro Atlanta. Since 2023, Liberation Academy has served grades 5-8 in Southeast Metro Atlanta.
Position Overview
Role Type: Full-Time Position
Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am to 4:00pm
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (hourly role)
Compensation: $40,000 per year
Supervisor: Director of Operations
As Liberation Academy seeks to impact the community we serve, an integral part of our success will be the daily implementation of effective systems and procedures.
The Front Office Assistant will report directly to the Director of Operations. The Front Office Assistant is the warm and friendly voice that answers the phone, the face that greets visitors to the office and the person who offers assistance to faculty and staff, as needed. The individual in this role will work closely with the Director of Operations and the Principal to ensure alignment with the goals, mission, and vision of the school.

Requirements
Job duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: Roles and Responsibilities
- Manages front office (secretarial duties).
- Manages all incoming and outgoing mail (including school email box, phone, and physical mail).
- Manage the school calendar, student enrollment/registration process,
- Maintains accurate attendance records and student data.
- Maintains inventories of supplies,
- Processes a wide variety of manual and electronic documents,
- Coordinates the scheduling of substitute teachers and administers medication and/or first aid to students in the absence of the School Nurse.
- Greets visitors and directing them to the appropriate staff members or office area
- Coordinates and schedules appointments, meetings, and conference calls for school leadership
- Provides general administrative support to office staff, including data entry, typing, and filing
- Assists with special projects as assigned by their Supervisor
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of a HS Diploma or equivalent
- At least three (2) years of full-time work experience in operations/office management; school experience is strongly preferred
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with the drive, passion to innovate, and tolerance of ambiguity needed for a startup environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes setting
- Strong writing and communications abilities
Stand-out Candidates will have:
- Familiarity with the Atlanta-area charter school sector
- Written and spoken fluency in English and Spanish (and/or other languages)
