Position Summary
The Cone Stabber Labor team member is responsible for properly positioning and securing poultry products on processing cones to support efficient trimming, deboning, and further processing operations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product flow, quality standards, and production efficiency while adhering to Tyson Foods' food safety and workplace safety requirements.
Essential Functions
- Place poultry products onto processing cones accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure products are properly positioned to meet quality and production specifications.
- Maintain production line speed while performing repetitive tasks safely and effectively.
- Inspect products for defects or quality issues and notify supervision of any concerns.
- Remove and handle product that does not meet quality standards as directed.
- Maintain a continuous flow of product to downstream operations.
- Follow all Tyson Foods food safety, quality assurance, animal welfare, and workplace safety procedures.
- Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a sanitary work environment.
- Assist with other production-related duties as assigned by management.
- Participate in job rotation and cross-training activities when required.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve production goals.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire shift.
- Frequent use of hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders while handling poultry products.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions at a consistent pace throughout the workday.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, twist, and stretch frequently.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work safely around moving production equipment and conveyors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Work Environment
- Poultry processing environment with exposure to raw poultry products.
- Frequent exposure to cold temperatures, moisture, humidity, and production equipment.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must comply with all sanitation, biosecurity, food safety, and workplace safety requirements.
