Heartline Staffing is recruiting Registered Nurses (RNs) for a 13-week correctional healthcare contract in Springfield, Vermont. Four openings are available.

TRAVEL CONTRACT AT A GLANCE

Gross Weekly Pay: $2,220

Taxable Rate: $20.00/hour

Weekly Stipend: $1,480

Overtime Rate: $50.00/hour

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Start Timing: 2–3 weeks after offer

Tax-free stipend eligibility is subject to applicable tax-home and IRS requirements.

THE ASSIGNMENT

Provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional facility in Springfield, Vermont, supporting the healthcare needs of inmates while maintaining safety, security protocols, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

This assignment requires recent adult healthcare experience. Correctional healthcare experience is preferred. RNs should have strong clinical skills, the ability to handle high-pressure situations, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ready to move quickly? Start timing is approximately 2–3 weeks after offer. Completing required documentation, background checks, health screenings, and onboarding promptly can help keep your assignment moving toward the earliest available start.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates at the correctional facility.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, administer medications, and manage urgent health issues.
• Collaborate with healthcare and correctional staff to ensure safety and compliance with protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to healthcare regulations within the correctional environment.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients while maintaining security protocols.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont REQUIRED
• Recent experience in adult healthcare REQUIRED
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations REQUIRED
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities REQUIRED
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings for correctional access REQUIRED

Preferred

• Prior correctional healthcare experience
• CPR/BLS certification
• First Aid certification
• Bilingual abilities
