The Senior Field Service Engineer will be responsible for:
- Conducting service, repair and/or installation of Mass Spectrometry and HPLC instruments in accordance with service protocols.
- Diagnosing system failures and determines most effective solution.
- Escalating complex issues to greater level of technical support or quality reporting system.
- Responding to customer support calls within the assigned territory.
This position reports to the Senior Service Manager, Bangalore and is part of the Field Technical Service located in Bangalore & will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Complete and successfully pass assigned training for relevant products and responsibilities.
- Deliver high-quality installation, repair, and maintenance services for mass spectrometry instruments, including escalation support.
- Manage critical service calls with a strong customer-centric approach.
The essential requirements of the job include
- MSc or BE in Electronics or Instrumentation, with specialization in Analytical Instrumentation.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the life sciences or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of analytical instrumentation service, particularly mass spectrometry & additional experience in HPLC
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- Ability and willingness to travel, overnight /outstation calls with short notice, if required
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Complex Analytical instrumentation techniques
